GETTING YOUR P’S.
COMPETENCY BASED TRAINING (LOG BOOK) |
There are two ways to get your P’s. The most popular way is to use the Log Book. This requires you to use an Accredited Instructor that can teach you the standards and then assess you through 30 tasks.
The whole process is competency based so if you can already perform some tasks to the standard, they will be signed off very quickly. One of the main reasons for most people choosing the Log Book system is that you are assessed by a familiar person, your Instructor. Also, the system is based on ongoing assessment work so there is no “test” as such. If you fail an assessment you simply practice more and retry.
Details of this system can be found in the Drivers Log Book which is available from any Transport SA Customer service Centre. More details are available at www.transport.sa.gov.au |
